Works with O365, On-Premise Exchange, and Hosted Exchange
This tool connects to Office 365, on-premise Exchange Server, and Hosted Exchange Server from the same interface. It supports User Mailbox, Public Folder, and Online Archive across all three platforms. Admin ID works for both O365 and Exchange sources. One tool handles every migration scenario without switching applications.
Full Mailbox Hierarchy Preview Before Anything Migrates
The Mailbox Hierarchy screen shows the complete folder tree for every loaded account with individual checkboxes. Select folders, deselect what is out of scope, and verify content before migration starts. Nothing moves until you click the final Backup button — giving compliance and IT teams full visibility before committing.
Separate Source and Destination Authentication
Source and destination accounts authenticate independently: O365 Login for the source, Backup Options for the destination. The tool displays a Sign In option for the Destination account. Both steps support Modern Authentication and Client ID login, preventing cross-account conflicts during tenant-to-tenant migrations.
The opening screen offers Backup and Restore. Backup migrates data from Office 365, on-premise Exchange, or Hosted Exchange to any destination. Restore the PST or OST files into Office 365. Both modes use the same authentication, user selection, and filter pipeline; one tool handles both directions.
The O365 Login screen offers two methods. Modern Authentication opens the Microsoft OAuth login page — works with multi-factor authentication and stores no passwords. Client ID and Secret: Use your Azure AD Application ID for service-principal access. Both options appear again at Backup Options for the destination account.
The User and Mailbox screen loads source accounts in two ways. Add User from CSV File imports a prepared list — a Sample CSV is available directly inside the tool. Add User automatically discovers all tenant accounts. Both methods populate the Source Mailbox User ID table with checkboxes for confirmation and source type selection.
After user selection, the Mailbox Hierarchy screen loads the full folder tree for every account. Every folder, subfolder, and email item displays with individual checkboxes — select at the account, folder, or item level. IT teams use this to scope migrations to specific folders, departments, or data ranges.
The Backup Options screen has a Save As dropdown with nine output formats: Office 365, G Suite, IMAP, PST, PDF, EML, MSG, MBOX, and CSV. Selecting Office 365 shows the destination authentication form. Source and destination logins are intentionally separate. You can also check the Migration From Office 365 Emails to Google Workspace solution.
The Apply Filters screen handles all data cleaning in one place: Remove Duplicates by To, From, Subject, or Body; Save Mail without Attachment; Free Up Server Space; Map Data with Default Folder; Date Filter with Start and End Date; and Custom Folder Name. Separate tabs apply duplicate settings to Mail, Calendar, and Contacts independently.
The Map Users step displays the final source-to-destination pairing before migration. Each source mailbox is matched to its destination user ID and mailbox type — Mailbox, Online Archive, or Public Folder. The Backup screen shows the complete mapping table with a Status field reading Migration not started yet" until Backup is clicked.
The Exchange to Office 365 Migration Software offers four license plans: Home, Administrator, Technician, and Enterprise, designed for individuals, small teams, IT professionals, and large organizations. Each plan includes unlimited migration, dedicated technical support, and a 30-day money-back guarantee to match every operational and budget requirement
The Exchange to O365 Migration Tool runs on Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, and 7 in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions, including Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016. On Mac, it supports macOS 10.15 Catalina through macOS 15 Sequoia on Apple Silicon M1, M2, M3, and M4 processors. No Outlook installation is required on either platform.
Download the free demo version to test the complete tool before purchasing. The demo includes every feature of the licensed edition, authentication, user import, mailbox hierarchy preview, output format selection, and all filters. The only restriction is 50 emails per folder. Activate a license to remove this limit and migrate complete mailboxes without restriction.
A regional law firm recently acquired a 45-person litigation consultancy. Both companies were using separate Microsoft 365 tenants with different domain names. The IT team had only one weekend to migrate all user mailboxes before employees started working on Monday morning.
To complete the migration on time, the team used the DRS Softech Exchange to Office 365 Migration Software. They imported all 45 user accounts through the CSV option and verified mailbox folders before starting the migration. The team also applied duplicate removal filters and migrated only the last four years of mailbox data based on company policy.
